info |
This album was originally released in 2012, some years before the latest release of Damir Imamovic (Dvojka, GBCD 33 / GBLP 33). Electric bass player Ivan Mihajlovic and percussionist Nenad Kovacic were already there to travel a road less travelled with Damir. Starting point is traditional Bosnian sevdah; Damir learned this art from his father and grandfather, both great names in this tradition. Damir not only looks to the history but is living in the future. These musicians have an open mind and open ears, bending the definition of sevdah, and offering a new perspective. |
