Jimi Brown Experience, a name that evokes the spirit of two icons of African American music, Jimi Hendrix and James Brown! Trained at the jazz, one would think that playing funk and soul would be a technical recreation for these musicians. Yet, as Nile Rodgers (Chic) reminds us all jazzmen are not able to play funk; this requires a surtain feeling, and exactly that feeling the Jim Brown Experience has. Seb Chaumont (saxophone), Selim Nini (saxophone), Tahina Razafindratsiva (trombone), and Fred d'Oelsnitz's sparing trumpet gives JB's relief indispensable to this project.
