?Jabadao? is an homage to the works and life of the legendary bombarde-player Matilin An Dall, who lived in Brittany in the 19th century. Although his music is not preserved, many people testimony him to be the best player of his generation. He was able to adjust the popular pieces of his time (operette or the most recent works of Rossini) to popular Breton music. Gaby Kerdoncuff, one of the most interesting bombarde-players and trumpetteers of Brittany of our time, imagined the old pieces of Matalin and interwove them with his own thoughts to this heritage. Jean-Francois Roger on percussions, and Serge le Clanche on accordion and piano complete this intensive historical yet very modern experience. |
