With this album, his second recording on CD, Elis Macfadyen has written songs around the theme of the title: Dreamers and Journeys. The songs vary from quiet verses of an ethereal nature, discussing the feelings and experiences of his travels, through to telling stories of real-life injustices and wrongdoings delivered in a sensitive and thought-provoking style. There is a lot to like on this album with mesmeric tales of fantastic journeys, Scottish-themed ?Dreams of Lochaber?, humorous ?Roadside Acquaintance?, ?Roving Journeyman? which earned Elis a finalist spot in a songwriting competition, ?She Smiled for Me? a love song for his wife and a short cameo of Robert Burns? ?Kirkconnel Lea? sung by Elis? dad, Innes Macfadyen. Elis has added vocal arrangements and delicate guitar parts to express the mood and feeling of the songs.
