?Mania Hotel? is the new album by saxophonist Simone Alessandrini and his band Storytellers. 'Mania Hotel' is a concept album entirely dedicated to the theme of madness. Musically, a lot happens. Scenarios open up that tend towards rock but at the same time the influence of cultured music from the beginning of the 20th century is evident. There is an echo of folk fanfare but also the influence of Tom Waits. The writing of the songs is very rigorous even if several times it frees up to moments of total improvisation.
