Luca Poletti Trio feat. Paolo Fresu - Colors

Nine tracks interspersed with a prologue, six short preludes and an epilogue. This, in short, is the structure of Colors, the debut album by pianist and composer Luca Poletti and his Trio. It is really hard to believe that this work is really the first because, beyond the technique, what strikes is the variety of sounds, the refinement of the arrangements, the liveliness of the compositions that, even in a relatively traditional jazz context, do not disdain quick but significant glances at other sound contexts, such as swing, free jazz or 80s fusion, without ever mentioning them too explicitly.
