Soweto Soul is a tribute to the musical soul of the South African townships. In cooperation with several South African artists combines the Dutch producer/guitarist Joep Pelt music as Penny Whistle Jive, Hip-Hop, Mbaqanga and Kwaito. Along with traditional Zulu rapper Mxolisi Majozi, also known as "Zuluboy" and artists like Penny Whistle legend Lemmy Special Mabaso, Soul Brothers organist Black Moses Ngwenya, Shangaan singer Penny Penny and Hip-Hop sensation Gigi Lamayne were a series of songs written, fusing different genres and generations. The covers of this first exclusive edition of Soweto Soul were designed by children of the Sekwati Primary School in Soweto. Besides album and documentary about this project, this edition includes a limited edition 7"vinyl. May 10th, 2017, release concert at Bimhuis, A?dam.
