Jazz pianist Spyros Manesis got to know Lena Platonos?s music as a teenager, later he chose to do a study on her music, to touch her compositions searching for bridges connecting the original recordings with his own approach as a jazz pianist. Lena Platonos is a musician, pianist and composer of electronic and electric music. She starred in the electronic scene of the 1980s.The result is a whole project of 9 arrangements of songs of hers. Called ?9 portraits?, because each arrangement is a personal interpretation of a particular theme that reflects certain musical qualities, characteristic of Lena?s music. Lyricism, melancholy, joy, minimalism, colorful harmony and Greek music elements are some of them.
