Makja is an artist who reflects the steep scenery of the Corsican maquis, from which he took his artist name, a sensitive and contrasted singer. As he sings, there is no known path in advance. Accompanied by guitars, electronics, but also sumptuous strings, woodwinds, brass and piano, his first album 'Ne te retourne pas' brings into the spotlight a personality, a musician with a lively, proud and extremely engaging voice, who evokes the lyricism inhabited by a Leo Ferre crossing incendiary landscapes. It is, in fact, a record with cinematic arrangements where the beauty of things is revealed at the end of the twilight.
