Tambours Crois?s consists of fifteen artists invited from overseas departments and countries: Guadeloupe, Guyane, Ha?ti, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion, Senegal. It is a formation of variable geometry whose concerts are not their only purpose, because their tour also includes educational workshops, jam sessions, a photo exhibition. The notions of creation and passing on are as important in their approach as the performance. But the primary objective of the project is to make music, and the CD bears loyal and enthusiastic witness to that. Keeping with the original intention, the group?s only instrumentation is voice and drum.
