New Strikers - Musiche Insane

The new album by the ensemble led by Antonio Apuzzo, the NewStrikers, an acoustic sextet (with the leader on saxophones and clarinets, Marta Colombo on vocals and percussion, Valerio Apuzzo on trumpet and flugelhorn, Luca Bloise on marimba and percussion, Sandro Lalla on double bass and Michele Villetti on drums and duduk) presenting on "Musiche Insane" a collection of original compositions with texts by Apuzzo, Colombo and great classics such as James Joyce, Dylan Thomas, Cesare Pavese and Jolanda Insana. The disc thus proposes a story in the form of a suite, in which unorthodox songs, irregular blues and free improvisations blend through recited verses.
