Manuel Dunkel is one of the most respected saxophonists in Finland. Dunkel graduated as Master of Music from the Sibelius Academy Jazz Department in 2004 and has played in several Finnish ensembles as well as been the leader of his own quartet since the late 1990?s. Award-winning saxophonist and composer Manuel Dunkel and his quartet release a new album. The Manuel Dunkel Quartet features pianist Alexi Tuomarila, bassist Antti Lotjonen and drummer Jaska Lukkarinen. The virtuosic ensemble is particularly known for its melodic expression and distinctive sound, which can also be enjoyed with this latest release.
