Steven Bodénès, bombarde player and conductor of the Bagad Kemper, and Sylvain Hamon, piper from Bagad Cap Caval are playing together as a duet for nearly 15 years. This album represents a long-time work on collecting old traditional tunes, heard from old Breton singers. The duet is supported by two great breton guitar players including a bass guitar, and also a young breton singer, who got the passion for singing from her father, a well known traditional singer. Based on traditional music from the centre of Brittany, the duet and their guests bring us Breton gavottes, dances, ballads and slow-airs. |
