Sotires is the creative child of session-violinist Fotis Siotas, who has performed with every respectable artist in Greece, and Lefteris Moumtzis, perhaps the most multi-faceted musician in Cyprus. Together with Kostas Pantelis, Siotas' long-time collaborator (Sancho 003), a cunning guitarist who is also featured in many historic performances and Vasilis Bacharidis who has lent his drumming to every name imaginable in Greece, they formed Sotires in September 2015. Their mutual love for exploring sound has resulted in ten immaculate songs featured on an album that serves as both an homage and an eye-opener to greek alternative music. From the explosive rhythmic pop songs to its mesmerising traditional ballads, the listener is treated to a new version of how the greek lyric can be showcased, while always maintaining the sense of feeling at home.
