Alma Afrobeat Ensemble is a modern band that plays Afrobeat and more. They are based in Barcelona, and the members are from different countries, thus mirroring the international nature of Barcelona itself. Influences go from Fela, Miles' Bitches Brew, GD, MMW, the Ethiopique Series, Tribe Called Quest to P-Funk. Their groove is constant, but without sacrificing the ever important craft of well composed songs. Modern afrobeat from around the world, in Barcelona!
