It would have been a shame if these two musicians had not played together. It doesn't take two chords and three notes to realise that. Whether they're playing iconic French songs, their own compositions or standards, they're serving up jazz the likes of which we don't hear so often, jazz that sings, jazz whose melodies are wonderful pretexts for improvisational rambling. To achieve this, you need talented, inspired musicians. It's a wonderful coincidence that they are! On this album, Pierre Boussaguet and Giovanni Mirabassi are clearly enjoying themselves, and us, because the art of the duo is, above all, the art of sharing.
