Sissoko, Mama - Live (2LP)

A veteran of the great Malian orchestra, the Super Biton de Ségou, Mama Sissoko is a rare musician. With his feverish voice, fast tempo and thoughtful lyrics, his alert, attentive music traverses Mandingo, Bambara, and other traditions, while flirting with jazz. Live' was recorded at a concert in Paris at La Villette in 1998.
