There had already been previous collaborations between Stefania Tallini, one of the most convincing and clear-cut expressions of contemporary jazz pianism, and Franco Pina, a jazz musician with a DNA consigned to history, genetically predestined, a trumpeter and flugelhorn player of long standing, but with 'E se Domani' the two sodalists find the creative break-even point, solidifying their collaboration with an album that is a candidate to be one of the most convincing works of this first tranche of 2023. The two musicians develop a perfect sound with a wide and varied surface, marked by points of contact with the jazz tradition, Italian songwriting, Brazil and the AmercanSongBook; even though nine of the fourteen tracks are original compositions in which all the creative flair of the two partners reverberates.
