The fourth album by the volcanic trumpeter Giovanni Falzone brings together a series of pieces composed in an unconventional form. The main objective of this project is to retrace, according to the leader's personal vision, moments of performance with well-defined structures for all the instruments and moments of pure 'interplay', i.e. the desire to pursue a common thought, making a collective musical discourse out of a small idea, relying above all on thematic improvisation and the use of electronics. The compositions are characterised by strong rhythmic and melodic components, steeped in suggestions ranging from Mediterranean Folk to Punk/Rock, through which the Trio moves the entire sound framework. Capable and attentive musicians are part of this project, with whom Falzone has established a relationship of complicity and musical understanding. |
