The debut album by Prochno (2019) was created remotely without any rush, for nearly one year. However, Niz (2020), recorded as a single live take during the band's first onsite meeting, showcased the tremendous live potential of the group. P3 combines both of those approaches, and although Gawinecki, Lesniewski, and Sofinski are returning somewhat to the starting point, they end up in a completely different place. Starting the work with ready drum parts forced a different way of thinking about the new material. The band's style became clearly defined on the debut, but despite that, P3 brings even more blurred, degraded music, disconcertingly cold in this form. This peculiar coldness is felt right from the beginning of the album. It's unreal music, full of reverberation, distinctive roughness, and the lyrical layer permeates with a sense of fear, confusion, and disorientation. |
