NinaH, the lead singer of The Outer Sonics, Nina Hiironniemi, has made her first solo album. Surface Slices. "You have to make a solo album in your fifties," she says. Well, yes. NinaH's music is certainly not about salaciousness or jokey pastiche. From start to finish, it is the artist herself, her soul and her heart. And not too dark, although there is a mournful undertone to many of the songs.
