Yarkin Ensemble - Caravanserai

Yarkin Ensemble presents a compelling program of music and songs as it would have sounded in the caravanserais , the inns on the old silk road through Turkey. A true caleidoscope of Turkoman, Azerbaijani, Armenian and Uygur music and dance, brought from Central Asia by travelling musicians , combined with the local folk music and the mystical (Sufi) music of Anatolia. This production is a collaboration between Kalan Musik from Turkey and the Kulsan organisation from Amsterdam .
